If you’re feeling lost on what to bring to a Super Bowl party this weekend, I have you covered! I used to always get stressed about trying to put together some sort of dish for a party and until I realized it’s better to keep it simple. And you know what? It really works. The star of this 3 ingredient cream cheese dip recipe is really Doritos and I’m not even kidding. There’s something about nacho cheese flavor combined with cream cheese just pleases the senses.
I can’t full credit for this recipe. It actually originated from my dad. I grew up requesting him to make it for me. That was then and this is now and the only upgrade I’ve really made is using more salsa than him. It’s really a personal choice and I also just find it easier to use the whole jar than overthink it.
It’s best to put set the cream cheese out in advance so it can come to room temperature. It’s also a dip you can pop into the food processor if you don’t feel like mixing it by hand. I kind of like the chunky pieces of salsa and cream cheese so I personally mix it by hand.
As far as the best chips for this 3 ingredient cream cheese dip, I always use the nacho cheese Doritos and mix them with a salty corn tortilla just to give people options. Not everyone loves Doritos as much as I do!
You can always use the “hot” Pace salsa if you want a little more kick. Keep that in mind.
